Honey Comb Only = The bees had only made the comb to store the honey. This is done by placing a new hive box on top of the hive. The bees work in a downward direction and when a box is placed on top it is used for honey without any brood. This honey has a sharper sweeter taste.
Brood Comb = The comb had brood (baby bees) then the comb is cleaned out by the bees and used for honey storage. We place the boxes on a Warre Hive on the bottom this way as the bees work downward and expand their hive the top box is full of honey after they had brood. This honey tastes creamier and not as sweet.
The taste preference does not take away from the health benefits of the honey. They are both yummy.
